Flowers&Vintage

Flowers&Vintage
I've had a few days off work,so have had a chance to spend some time making new pieces for my shop, like this floral head piece, seen below.Years ago I made a floral headpiece for my first ever project at uni, which you can see here and here.Theres been an explosion of popularity with floral crowns the last couple of years, especially as the music festival seasons come around,so I thought it would be a good idea,to experiment and make some to sell at my shop. This crown isnt avaliable yet, still need to work on it,to give it a professional finish, but the beaded Vintage 70's necklaces are avaliable as well as the vintage faux pearl necklace...and of course my nails for this week...
Thank you for stopping by and thank you for all your sweet comments, stop by my shop for the new vintage items...SHOP
...almost forgot to mention,my blog is no longer randomly billiejean44.blogspot.com,it is now: www.KayleighJeanBlog.com !!! thought it was more professional, and as I own kayleighjean.com for my shop, which isnt live yet,I thought kayleighjeanblog.com was just simple. If you use the old URL,thats fine as it'll direct you straight to here.

Scotland Trip

Scotland:Armadale
It was so nice, last week to be off work, not only for the much needed break, but for a planned mini holiday to Armadale;Scotland,to see my boyfriends family, most importantly for his Grans 80th Birthday celebrations. It takes about 7 hours to drive up there, which is pretty long, but the drive is'nt so bad when you have beautiful views everywhere, especially as you reach the lake district...
Our time was mostly spent catching up with my boyfriends family and friends, which was lovely, especially as they're all such a laugh,so I dont really have many photos to show you. But I did go to Edinburgh for the day,I had been before, but had'nt really done any sight seeing,so this time we went to Edinburgh castle... showing my nievity I did'nt realise castles, where lived in,like a town/mini city in them? :/ I learnt alot, and enjoyed some beautiful views, which I hope you can tell by my photos...

I did'nt do any shopping while I was there, but whilst walking around Edinburgh,I came across this amazing stall, with hundreds of natural precious stone rings! It had every beautiful stone going, and I wanted to buy them all,but as there sterling silver and real stone, they were quite pricey, but I treated myself to this gorgeous turqoise stone ring, and as it's silver,it wont tarnish, which means its never coming off my finger!
Hope you enjoyed looking at my photos and reading my post, love to know your thoughts,Im off today,so get to spend some time looking though your posts.
In other news Im featured on ISWAI facebook page,as Im wearing their wishbone above the knuckle ring, stop by for a nose... ISWAI facebook feature

Contemporary Vintage

New In: Vinatge Dresses.
I found these gorgeous Vintage dresses a few weeks ago.I love the fit and look of vintage clothes from all decades, the way the clothes are made and the choice of fabric. Though I love them,I was'nt sure wether to invest and sell them at my shop,as you dont want to look like your wearing your grans clothes walking down the road, but to look fashion forward,so I styled my little sister in the dresses, with simple black platform boots and a cute black hat,and some other simple accessories, which I think up date the dresses, yet keep their vintage charm.
The dresses, are now avaliable at my shop, along with a couple other vintage pieces.Theres also quite a few of my items in the ASOSmarketplace sale.
Im off to Scotland tomorrow, and cant wait for a little getaway,so will hopefully take lots of photos, and possibly post them on here, when I get back, apolagies for the absense will hopefully be blogging monday.Or if you have instagram, you can follow there and let me know your instagrams,Im slightly obsessed with it at the moment,so no doubt il post photos when Im in Scotland.
