Bohemian men's fashion...

My own illustration, which I have presented on a moodboard, using images all from 'Asos.com'.
Prices for items I found on 'Asos.com': Denim shorts-£60.00. Aztec satchel-£35.00. Both vests- £14.00. Shoes-£55.00. Aztec stitch belt-£15.00. Aztec ruck sack- £30.00. Harmonica necklace-£8.00.

My first project for the start of my second year at Uni,was a Menswear project. I had'nt really taken much of an interest in men's fashion,or done much research on men's styles and designers before this. But during this project my eyes were opened up, to the endless styles and possibilities there is. With my ongoing theme, with my posts lately, I wanted to experiment with doing some designs for men, and find some fashions that I'm loving at the moment.
On the left is my fashion illustration, of some design and styling idea's, and to the right of this is some fashion finds, all from 'Asos.com'. I especially  love the aztec satchel and rucksack, they look amazing. I also found they had a harmonica necklace for £8.00, just like mine in my last post, but mine was only £1.50!

Bohemian Summer part two...

My own illustrations.

Above is part two of my 'Bohemian Summer' design and styling idea illustrations.
Over the summer I'm planning to develop my illustrations,by using different scale's, poses and the drawing materials I use. As I've been often told off by my tutor, to not draw such heavy lines, and to soften up my illustrations, for a more feminine look.which I agree.Using black biro on my designs, has become bit of a bad habbit,as it's great to use to add detail and focal points.

Ear cuff's

My photographs(basically edited by Corel paint shop proX2)
When I was flicking through 'LOOK' magazine not too long ago,I came across an article about a new jewellery designer who create's accessories using vintage piece's, in particular there was a picture of Sienna Miller on the red carpet, wearing this beautiful pearl and gold ear cuff, which had been made out of an old brooch.
Since then I tried shopping around for my very own ear cuff, but did'nt have much luck, until I found these wing earrings form 'Topshop', there were about £8.00,but well worth it even though I just wear the one,in the top of my ear as an ear cuff...

My own Photograph.
I think they have quite a vintage look,with the beautiful,pastel shade,faux opals,and iridesent/pearlescent diamonte's.
I through away the 'LOOK' magazine, so can't remeber the designer of the lovely piece's or find the image of Sienna Miller, but below are a couple of images, I found of different ear cuff's that I also love...

With the summer well on it's way, packed full of festivals, new trends are appearing everywhere for festival freindly fashions! Adding accessories is a great way,to stylize your comfortable, basic jumpsuits, playsuits, cut off denim shorts and T's and off-course wellies! One trend appearing everywhere is the head band, it looks feminine and sweet as well as keeping your hair off your face. Above are some pics, of two headbands I found at 'Primark'. Absolute bargains, the white daisy chain headband was only a £1.00! The faux sunflower headband was only £1.50!

Bohemian Summer part one.

Above and below images are- My own design and syling illustartions/idea's.

I love drawing all the time, the above illustrations are just some idea's of garment designs and styling idea's. I enjoy creating garments, that I'd love to be able to wear myself! When I don't have a project breif, I'm mainly inspired by past decades; seventies, sixties, I love the bohemian and hippy styles. I usually design collections that are feminine, fun, youthful with lots of layering and accessorising.

Handmade rings...

Hand made rings,Nail polish: 'Barry M-blueberry'

Seeing as I have alot of time on my hands,as I've broken up for summer! (4 months off!)
I've made a couple of rings, to pass the time. For the flower ring, I used some bits and bobs I had left over, from the floral head piece I made a while a go (previously posted), so it did'nt cost a thing! And for the scrabble piece ring,I knicked the letter from my parents old scrabble board game!

Theme's: Galaxy, Futuristic, Tye-dye, metallic, Sci-fi,extra-terrestrial....
